シアトルからドイツに日帰り旅行?! Yukari, Seattle

シアトルから約190kmのところに、レブンワースという、いわゆるドイツ村があります。

山々に囲まれた美しい街です。

ドイツ村というと色々なところにあるものですが、ここで特に面白いのはアメリカとドイツのスタイルが入り混じっている点だと思います。街並みはドイツさながらのかわいい建物ばかりなのに、そのすぐそばのあちらこちらで星条旗が風になびいているのです。また祝日ともなれば、ドイツ村でありながら街じゅうが青、赤、白で埋め尽くされてしまいます。

レブンワースでは様々なイベントが催されているので、一年を通していつ訪れてもめいっぱい楽しむことができます。私が行った時は毎回、平日でさえも、州内外からの多くの観光客で賑わっていました。どの時期に行くのもそれぞれに良さがあっておすすめで、クリスマスのイルミネーションの美しさなどは特に格別だと思いますが、私は緑が美しい今の季節のレブンワースも大好きです。

I took a daytrip to Germany in Washington state!

Leavenworth is a “Doitsu-mura” (a city modeled on Germany.)

It is about 120 miles from downtown Seattle and a city encircled by the beautiful mountains.

The streets like Germany are lined with neat rows of shops, restaurants and parks.

One of the most interest thing is the blending of American and German styles.

There are a lot of lovely buildings like those in Germany, but around the buildings you can find the Stars and Stripes easily.

On the national holidays, people decollate with Blue, Red and White whole the city.

There are various events or festivals in Leavenworth so you can enjoy anytime in the year. Every time I visited Leavenworth, there were many tourists if it was weekday.

I think each events have its good point but Christmas lighting is especially beautiful. But I also love this season because mountains covered with fresh gleen leaves are awesome!:)
