ポジティブなロンドンの地下鉄!? Saki, London

ロンドンの地下鉄の改札前には、路線ごとの運行状況がアップデートされる掲示板があります。

最初のころなんとなく見ていたこの掲示板ですが、よく考えると日本人では考えられないポジティブさです。 

「Good service」

 正直、利用している私からすると「Good」というか、よく言って「普通」です。

日本だと「通常運転」でしょうか？

車内で「Good serviceです」とアナウンスしながら、途中で電車が停車して動かないこともよくあったりして・・・

なんとも前向きなロンドンの地下鉄です。

地下鉄といえば、

東京ほどではありませんが、ロンドンも朝夕の通勤時間はそこそこ混雑します。

いつも思うのは、座席付近まで詰めれば、もっと多くの人が乗れるのに！！ということです。

だいたいいつも、入り口付近だけ混雑していて、座席のある辺りに立っている人はすくなくガラガラ・・・・。

数年間東京の通勤ラッシュで鍛えられた私としては、まだまだ甘い！この隙間、もっと詰められる！！と思ってしまいますが、

ロンドナーは、あっさり見送って次の電車を待ちます。

こんな優雅な空気、東京にはありませんでした。

今日も東京の通勤ラッシュにもまれるであろう皆さん・・・・応援せずにはいられません。。。

日本人は満員電車で知らない人同士が触れ合うのは仕方ないという感じになっていますが、

イギリス人は満員電車だからといって知らない人が自分のパーソナルスペースに入られるのをとても嫌がるということも理由かもしれません。

London underground is very positive!!

There is an automated signboard near the ticket gates, which tells us operational condition on the tube.

I did not know why, but something about it made me feel a bit strange.

However, I knew this board was really positive!

"Good service"

As a tube user, I think the service is just OK. I have never thought that it was good.

In Japan, we say " normal service" instead of saying "good".

Furthermore, when I was on the tube and the train stopped between stations, they announced, " We have a good service".

I feel that London underground has a very positive frame of mind..

Speaking of the Tube in London, there are rush hours the same as in Japan but not as severe as the Japanese rush hours.

I always want to say to people, if people stand closer toward the back or middle of the carriage, more people can get on the same train.

There are always many people near the doors but not in front of seats.

Because I used to suffer from extreme crowding on the train in Tokyo, I could say that it's too permissive in London!! They can try harder!!

We can crowd many more people into a train!!!

However, Londoners calmly wait for the next train.

I have never seen such an elegant atmosphere in Tokyo.

I wish the many people who struggle with crowded trains in Japan all the best:)
